Summary

Patrick Industries, headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana is currently seeking a National Director of Industrial and Commercial Sales. The individual will oversee, analyze and direct sales for all Business Units across the United States supporting the Industrial Sales markets. As a leader in the organization, this person will work directly with Representatives throughout Patrick who currently serve Industrial markets, as well as position other Business Units for Industrial growth. A successful leader in this role will enable the coordination and communication to all Business Units, the market position, strategy, and opportunities within current and potential Industrial customers.

Specific Responsibilities

 

  • Cultivate an understanding of the Patrick’s Customer First Culture and professional sales process.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of Patrick’s products and capabilities through emersion in the Business Units.
  • Identify new sales opportunities with new and existing customers  
    • Link the customer and opportunity to the appropriate Business Unit and sales support team.
  • Improve profitability, product penetration, and product mix with all customers.
  • Learn to develop sale solutions and competitive pricing strategies.
  • Communicate Patrick’s value propositions to customer.
  • Propose sales solutions to customers and reevaluate solutions where necessary.
  • Close sales opportunities by gaining purchase orders and executing all order fulfillment procedure.
  • Provide excellent customer service and facilitate long-term relationships for repeatable/sustainable business.
  • Lead teams of Sales Representatives to grow their current accounts and acquire more.
  • Hire and develop new Sales Representatives acting as a coach to their immersion into the industry.

Strategy and Metrics:

  • Generate enterprise level sales strategy for the Industrial products and capabilities. Assure the strategy is measured through:
    • Tracking of specific growth statistics with Industrial customers
      • Develop a tracking mechanism
      • Communicate results to team
    • Record development of cross-selling (multiple BUs) opportunities and successes.
    • Sustainable Growth of Industrial Sales at current and new BUs

Requirements

 

  • Preferred undergraduate in Business Management or related degree
  • 10-15 years of Sales leadership preferably within the Industrial/Commercial markets
  • Track record of sales growth YOY in a similar sized organization
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Preference for pre-existing relationships within the industry
