    Foremost Fabricators, a Division of Patrick Industries manufactures fabricated aluminum products, sheet and coil, and custom laminated products throughout five facilities in Goshen, Indiana and is seeking an Experienced Materials Manager to add to their team.  


    In this position, the Materials Manager will oversee the inventory throughout the multi-site operation, creating and implementing cycle count initiative and processes and complete purchasing oversight.

    Specific Responsibilities



    Reporting to the Business Unit Director, the Materials Manager is responsible for managing the supply pipeline and inventory at a quickly growing, multi-site operation. In this position, the employee will be expected to create, implement and maintain cycle count programs, excess inventory management, inventory balancing. This role will encompass a hands on approach and have purchasing oversight which will include managing the department, vendor selection and sourcing, balanced consideration of demand, buying synergies, forecast development and BOM management. Other responsibilities include:


    • Oversee and control all aspects of materials from raw material to finished goods inventory.
    • Responsibilities cover incoming supply, demand planning, inventory accuracy and finished goods stocking.
    • Directs forecasting, procurement and supply planning of raw materials. Oversees inventory accuracy, cycle count program and all inventory transactions.
    • Responsible for effective planning and scheduling to meet production and customer demand.
    • Oversees all daily procurement activities needed to fulfill production demand.
    • Maintain sufficient raw material stocking levels.
    • Oversees ordering and importing sea containers, as well as complying with customs regulations and maintaining relationships with freight forwarders and coordinating their deliveries and cost savings.
    • Directly supervises Planning/Purchasing, Inventory Control and Receiving functions.



    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or other related discipline
    • APICS certification is highly desired
    • 5+ years of Materials Management including purchasing and inventory control
    • Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle or Microsoft AX
    • Applicants must have 2+ years’ experience forecasting in a fast paced, manufacturing or distribution environment
    • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
    • Must be able to manage multiple priorities make sound decisions, and handle pressure
    • Candidates must have strong leadership capabilities with the ability to operate independently, affect change across functions, and have a track record of delivered results
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of internal and external customers
    • Ability to quickly learn vendor product and customer program information
    • The ability to effectively discuss and present information and respond to questions from Sales Representatives, Managers and Customers
    • Strong relationship building, communication, accountability and follow-up skills mandatory
    • A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, and respect) are necessary qualities.
    • Self-motivated to work independently in a busy environment with changing priorities
