  • Summary

    Patrick Industries, a major manufacturer and distributor of component, building products and materials for the RV, Manufactured Housing, Marine, and various other Industrial Markets is continuing to grow through acquisitions, new products and organically and is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager for one of our distribution Business Units to help lead the efforts to continued success.  

     

    Under the direction of the Business Unit Director, the Manager leads the efforts of the operating functions of a buy/sell distribution facility that is an expanding division of Patrick Industries. This Leader is responsible for direct components of the Organizational Strategic Agenda (OSA) and manages specific objectives linked directly to the OSA including oversight and influence to the P&L while keeping their team engaged and programs running efficiently.

    Specific Responsibilities

    Operations

    • Ensures order fulfillment at CRD (Customer Request Date- on time delivery) objective level
    • Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates team members, monitors and evaluates performance of team; counsels, documents actions and disciplines as appropriate.
    • Ensures communication, training and running operations is in compliance with local, state and federal laws and EHS standards
    • Reviews inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of plant profitability
    • Supports Continuous Improvement by identifying and addressing any opportunities to reduce cost, improve product/process and/or improve overall operations
    • Supports ERP integration into daily business functions of operations
    • Assumes ultimate responsibility for the quality and reliability of on-time shipments to our Customers
    • Management and leadership of Operational standards, metrics and efficiencies
    • Responsible for hiring, staffing and retaining an engaged workforce
    • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and efficiency of the Inside Sales and Purchasing Departments.

    • Rich and deep experiences in developing relations with key stakeholders to optimize financials, productivity, quality and Customer 1st Understands the key business drivers of our business and customers and builds trust and credibility from within the organization to deliver through consistently exceeding our metrics

     

    Other Requirements:

    • Undergraduate degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Organizational Leadership and Supervision, Accounting, or a related field highly preferred
    • At least 5 years of experience leading teams in a fast paced environment
    • Must have experience in a buy/sell distribution environment
    • Understanding of accounting highly preferred
    • Familiarity with the RV customer base
    • Understanding the functional role of a purchasing agent
    • Knowledge of Microsoft AX Dynamics is highly desired
    • Experience in Import Product Purchasing
    • Experience with MS Suites including Access and Excel
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in terms of being clear, concise, and professional
    • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently with little to no oversight
