  • Summary

    Indiana Marine Products, a division of Patrick Industries, is a manufacturer of marine products in the Angola, IN area, and is expanding and seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team. In addition to joining a great team, the first year will be dedicated to training alongside the current Senior Manufacturing Engineer to eventually take full managerial responsibilities. In this exciting position, you will lead the Engineering and Maintenance departments to exceed annual goals and customer expectations.

    Specific Responsibilities


    • In conjunction with the senior staff, develop, justify, and implement Annual Capitalization Plan
    • Develop and provide DFMA guidelines and input to Design Engineering during the model year design cycle
    • Direct resources to provide the fabrication of templates to support helps and panel assembly
    • Direct the development of capital projects to provide an annual Senior Design Project at Trine University
    • Develop and Implement a lean/continuous improvement annual cost reduction plan


    • Lead the lean manufacturing initiatives and lean conversion wherever appropriate
    • Direct the development and tracking of an effective preventative maintenance program
    • Direct cost improvement projects in accordance with mutually developed goas
    • Direct resources to provide daily equipment support to keep manufacturing running


    • Provide DFMA guidelines and input to Design Engineering
    • Track the creation of routed labor times, and routings for all manufactured products
    • Direct the development of CNC programs, process programs for the automated wire processing equipment, i.e., Zeta, Crimping Centers, Kappas


    • Direct resources to provide daily maintenance and technical support to keep production running


    • Bachelor of Science in relative technology field such as MET, IT, EET, DET, etc.
    • 5-7 years’ experience as a floor support engineer with at least 3 years in a managerial position
    • Demonstrated skills in:
      • Lean Manufacturing
      • Preventative maintenance
      • Microsoft Office
      • Routing Creation
      • Capital equipment selection, justification, implementation
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in terms of being clear, concise, and professional
    • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently with little to no oversight
    • Preferred skills in:
      • CNC Programming
      • Wire processing equipment programming
      • Facility layout
      • Masters of Business Administration
      • Masters in any related engineering fields
